It was ok for the price, the restaurant of the hotel was very good, though. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Our room was close to the street, so it was noisy. The breakfast was poor for an european. The jam was bad. The choice was good, though. And the hotel was split in two, the reception and breakfast on one side, the room over the street, so we had to cross it each time we wanted to eat or somthing similar.
Calm place, clean, nice building (stylish, typical), big room, shuttle to the center, security service even for passing the street, very friendly staff
A very noisy minibar. Staff: friendly and helpful but (most of them) should improve their english. Breakfast: several times there were no more glasses, plates; some times no more juice, eggs, fruit and other food and not replaced or very late.
My room was not ready until around 5:00 p.m. although I was assured I could check in at 2:00 p.m. The service in the restaurant was atrocious. On the first day we waited nearly an hour for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were woken at 5:00 a.m. by a large group of people using the hotel's parking lot to film what appeared to be an exercise video. The bathrooms are run down to the point of seeming unclean, although I think they were. Lastly, the hotel is significantly further from the heart of the city than their blurb indicates. This was annoying.
The Hotel is designed very aesthetically.
its so natural if you stay in puriartha
Accommodation. BVN on the television. Friendly staff.
No wine. Menu card, not all was available.
Wonderful, friendly staff; amazing attention to detail - jamu lady and gentle (live) gamelan at breakfast, tasteful interior decor and lovely gardens, fish pond, lotus flowers (doesn't feel like you are in a city of 3 million when you are pottering around in them); good breakfasts with freshly prepared food; nice swimming pool (towels provided); security to help you cross the road... numerous restaurants and warung in the street and connecting streets and other useful little toko (get some bespoke rubber stamps made; or a haircut?) An easy ten minute ride into Jl Malioboro on hotel shuttle or cab. We stayed here a week and really enjoyed the luxury.
Maid service wasn't consisten and we had to constantly ask for toilet paper
Very kind staff, very clean, large rooms and all the structures are in a lovely Bali style
It is a very nice hotel, we really like to stay here , puri artha is a 3 stars hotel but it's serves a 5 stars hotel services n facilities. The staff also nice. We like the atmosphere in this hotel, feel so peace....
I liked the traditional atmosphere - Javanese, Balinese. The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. The gamelan was nice, very charming. Location not far from the airport and in a quiet part of town was good. The pool was lovely and I liked the dragon fountains. Also the garden setting, particularly for the northern section were lovely. There were some reasonable restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hot water took some time to come and the bathrooms were a little dated but worked fine. The breakfast for western tastes was not as good as the Indonesian choices. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again. I wanted to do yoga but the times did not suit, not early enough.
Puri Artha is a beautiful and comfortable place, located close to both the city centre and the airport. It offers great value for money.
Lots of families with young children stay there, and it tends to get very noisy in the morning: don't count on sleeping later than 7:30.
Its budget wise
floor dirt. Bed produce funny noise when you lay down.
Hotel complex very nice Indonesian style and garden
Location not very convenient (but sometimes transfer with free hotel shuttle possible), bathroom ok but not very good.
The hotel was wonderfully traditional with gamelan playing, beautiful rooms opening onto vistas of lush gardens. There were fish swimming in pools, frogs hopping and smiling helpful staff. The breakfasts were fantastic and the dining room was open on 2 sides overlooking more gardens. It still retained the charm of 25yrs ago when I last visited.
Despite a comprehensive drinks menu there was no gin/ vodka/tequila!
